Designing a Festival Experience for Samsung

At Immersiv Studios, we specialize in creating engaging, gamified experiences that connect audiences with brands in meaningful ways. When Lola Live invited us to design interactive activations for Samsung at the NOS Alive and MEO KALORAMA music festivals, we embraced the opportunity to develop something truly memorable.

To accomplish this, we developed two digital activations: a branded photo experience and an interactive video activity.

Activation #1 - Samsung Digital Photo Experience

Our team developed a custom photo app designed for festival attendees and featuring Samsung’s new Z Flip6.

Here’s how the photoactivation worked

  • On-the-Spot Photo Capture
    Samsung’s brand promoters, equipped with Samsung’s latest devices, approached festival participants who stood out with a unique style. They captured these moments in real time, providing an instant, personalized connection.

  • Instant Sharing and Voting Options
    After their photo was taken, participants could share it instantly using Samsung’s Quick Share feature, sending it to friends or sharing it on social media. They could also send the photo to Samsung’s live gallery at the festival booth and enter it into the daily #SamsationalLook contest.

  • Daily Voting and Prizes
    At the Samsung booth, attendees could view the live gallery of photos and vote for their favorite looks. Each day, the participant with the most votes won a pair of Galaxy Buds3, creating an engaging, on-site competition that encouraged more people to join in.

Activation #2 - Samsung Video Experience

To highlight the flexibility of Samsung’s Z Flip6 phones, we designed an interactive video experience that let festival attendees explore the phone’s features in a fun, hands-on way.

Here’s how the video activation worked:

  • Influencer Participation
    Influencers and content creators were invited to join the video challenge, capturing their #Samsational moments and boosting Samsung’s reach through their followers.

  • 30-Second Dance Video Challenge
     Participants recorded a fun dance video using the Z Flip6, showing off the phone’s folding capabilities and unique design.

  • Quick Sharing for Maximum Exposure
    Samsung’s Quick Share feature allows users to post their videos instantly with the tagline “Recorded on Samsung Z Flip6,” helping promote Samsung’s latest models.

Increasing Brand Engagement through Digital Activations

Samsung’s photo and video activations were popular with festival attendees, creating engaging, shareable experiences that matched the energy of the event. Key outcomes included:

    Festival-goers enthusiastically joined in, using Samsung’s photo and video apps to capture memorable moments. This interactive experience generated high engagement throughout the event.
