In the rapidly advancing field of Precision Agriculture, effective training for complex tractor software is essential. We have developed an innovative Virtual Reality app specifically for New Holland, revolutionizing their training process. This VR solution offers users an immersive, self-paced learning experience, allowing them to master software functions like defining tractor paths and programming variable rates for spray and fertilizer distribution. This approach significantly reduces the time and costs associated with traditional training methods.

The app’s ability to incorporate new modules and environments makes it versatile for ongoing and future training needs. This VR solution enhances learning efficiency, simplifies complex processes, and positions New Holland as a leader in agricultural technology innovation.

Precision Agriculture is an ever-evolving field, with technology advancing quickly and systems becoming more complex every day. This is particularly true for tractor software, which plays a crucial role in modern farming practices. However, with complexity comes a need for training, and this can be both time-consuming and costly.

To address this challenge, we developed a solution that aims to teach more people how to use New Holland’s tractor software effectively, while reducing costs and minimizing the time needed for training.

Traditionally, such training would take place in real-time with an instructor guiding learners through the software step-by-step. Fortunately, with the solution our team created, this is no longer necessary!

New Holland’s latest innovation in Precision Agriculture (PA) training is a VR app that puts you inside the tractor. With stunning realism and an AI-generated voice to guide users, anyone will master complex tractor software in no time!
By slipping on their VR glasses and immersing themselves in a world that feels like the real one, with all the sights, sounds, and sensations of being in the driver’s seat, users can learn at their own pace, whenever and wherever they want.

The app is divided into three modules, each packed with simulations and exercises that help users master different aspects of tractor software:

  • How to define guidelines for tractor paths;
  • How to program the software to distribute spray at a variable rate;
  • How to program the software to distribute fertilizer at a variable rate.

New Holland has been using this Virtual Reality app to teach students how to use Intelliview and showcase it at agriculture events to gather feedback and ideas for future modules.

With this technology, the possibilities are endless. The app can be customized to include new modules and environments, such as different models of tractors and reapers.
The development of this app marks a significant innovation in the agricultural market, demonstrating New Holland’s leadership not just in sales, but in technological advancement as well.

Moving forward, our team is excited to explore new possibilities in agriculture using our virtual reality solutions. Our goal is to drive innovation and enhance efficiency by simplifying processes, ultimately improving the user experience.
